When I began graduate school in 2014, I did a lot of reading. Most of it was very academic in nature but some of it was actually quite inspiring. Written in 1934, I read this passage by John Dewey during my first week of classes. It struck me as inspiring and exciting, especially while embarking on something so entirely new. I continued to save passages like this throughout my studies, so someday this may be the first in a series.
